HK/Macau Trip 2007 - Part 2

Finally got around to write this blog... I was going through the pictures that we took in Macau/HK and quite a few of them show my eating look, which isn't too attractive, oh well...
We did eat a lot especially when we were in Macau, pretty much non-stop throughout the day. In most of the days, we woke up early and had early lunch with parents. Then since we had nothing to do, we just walked around for hours and stopped by everywhere to eat/drink Tongue out
In the 1st picture below, I was buying 'pressed egg biscuits' from a street vender and eating them in the 2nd. Some years later, all these awesome street food will disappear from Macau because the government will not extend their licenses, how sad Sad
The 3rd picture was taken 10 minutes after the 2nd one, haha Open-mouthed. We walked by the one and only store in Macau that sells gelato. The owner is a very young guy who really likes gelato. He actually went to Italy for a year to learn how to make gelato. After that he went back to Macau and opened a business. He created some local flavors too. I tried the rose tea one. It's pretty good.
The last picture shows the renowned steamed milk custard at 義順. We ate it 3 times in the 2 weeks that we were in HK/Macau. Originally, after eating twice, I thought it's just good but not super outstanding. But by chance I had a bowl of sesame steamed milk custard (steamed milk custard filled with sweet sesame soup) in HK. The overall taste was okay but the quality of the steamed milk custard was not at all comparable to the ones at 義順. I was simply happy that I had the chance to have some good desserts!

HK/Macau Trip 2007 - Part 1

What is that in your hand?" -Exodus 4:2

"What is that in your hand?" Exodus 4:2

Those who understand how God called Moses to bring the Israelites out of Egypt would know that Moses used many excuses to repeatedly decline His calling.

"Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?" (Exodus 3:11)

"What if they do not believe me?" (4:1)

"O Lord, I have never been eloquent” (4:10)

"O Lord, please send someone else to do it." (4:13)

Nevertheless, God was determined to use Moses, and help him and guide him to be a faithful spiritual leader. Our service to God does not merely our abilities, rather, it’s our willingness to serve that truly matters. From the beginning, God has called ordinary people like you and me to serve Him, to accomplish His works through our faith. However we often look for excuses for ourselves, and believe that we are not as good as those who were used by God. We forget that they were just ordinary people and they also had weaknesses. The difference is that they devoted themselves to God and let God use them, so He did.

When Moses threw the staff in his hand onto the ground as commanded by God, the staff became a snake. Then as Moses took hold of the snake, following God’s words again, the snake turned back into a staff. Eventually it was Moses and this staff that God used to bring the Israelites out of Egypt.

God can use each one of us if only we can, through our faith, let Him use us. What is that in your hand? Throw it on the ground, and see how God will use it!

Mature test and EQ test

-----------------------------------------------------

Your EQ is 140

50 or less: Thanks for answering honestly. Now get yourself a shrink, quick!
51-70: When it comes to understanding human emotions, you'd have better luck understanding Chinese.
71-90: You've got more emotional intelligence than the average frat boy. Barely.
91-110: You're average. It's easy to predict how you'll react to things. But anyone could have guessed that.
111-130: You usually have it going on emotionally, but roadblocks tend to land you on your butt.
131-150: You are remarkable when it comes to relating with others. Only the biggest losers get under your skin.
150+: Two possibilities - you've either out "Dr. Phil-ed" Dr. Phil... or you're a dirty liar.

What's Your EQ (Emotional Intelligence Quotient)?

(p.s. I actually don't think I'm "remarkable when it comes to relating with others." But I'm a very good listener and adviser.

Do you have a 'frenemy'?

Saw this interesting article about "frenemy" a few days back -

http://edition.cnn.com/2007/LIVING/personal/08/24/frenemies/index.html?imw=Y&iref=mpstoryemail

After reading it, I tried to think if I have any 'frenemy'. I don't think I do. Because I cannot bear complications in a relationship. And, I'm more like men, as being described in the article, for being more realistic about friendships and can quickly disengage from negative friendships without feeling guilty :)
